Terms of use.
These terms cover how you use wellinspirit.com: browsing the site, your account, the members' library, and the forum and community. Buying from us is covered separately by our Terms of Service.

1. Who we are
Welcome to Well In Spirit. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Well In Spirit, the owner of wellinspirit.com ("our site"). "You" means the person using our site.
Well In Spirit is the trading name of Well in Spirit Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17440171. Our registered office is 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU. You can reach us at hello@wellinspirit.com.
By using our site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use our site.
2. Other terms that apply
These terms sit alongside:
- our Terms of Service, which apply whenever you buy goods, digital guides or a membership from us;
- our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the cookies our site sets; and
- our Delivery & returns page, which explains how orders reach you and how to send something back.
3. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time by amending this page, for example when we add a new feature or when the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. Please look back at them now and then: the version on this page when you use our site is the one that applies.
4. Using our site
Our site is free to browse. We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise that it, or anything on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or change all or any part of our site without notice, for example for maintenance or to update our range.
Our site is intended for people living in the United Kingdom, and we only deliver to UK addresses. You must be 18 or over to create an account or to buy from us.
You are responsible for your own internet connection and device, and for making sure that anyone else who uses our site through your connection knows about these terms and keeps to them.
5. Your account and password
You can browse most of our site without an account. Some areas are only open to you once you have registered or signed in, including your order history and downloads, the members' library and posting in the forum and community.
- Please give us accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date in your account.
- Choose a password you don't use anywhere else, keep it to yourself, and don't let anyone else use your account.
- If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password or has used your account, tell us straight away at hello@wellinspirit.com.
We may disable an account at any time if, in our reasonable opinion, its owner has failed to keep to these terms.
6. What you must not do
You may use our site only for lawful purposes. You must not use our site:
- in any way that breaks any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;
- in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
- in any way that infringes anyone's intellectual property rights or right to privacy;
- to send, or arrange the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material, or any other form of spam;
- to collect or harvest information about other people who use our site; or
- using any robot, scraper or other automated means to copy our content, prices, guides or recordings, or to place orders.
You also agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of our site in breach of these terms.
7. The forum and community
Our forum and community feed are there for members to share their practice, ask questions and encourage one another. We want them to stay kind, calm and safe, so a few rules apply to anything you post, including topics, replies, comments, photos, likes and your profile.
What you post
Whatever you post must be your own, must be honest, and must not:
- be abusive, threatening, harassing, hateful or discriminatory, or bully or demean anyone;
- be defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit or violent;
- include anyone else's personal information, such as a full name, address, phone number or photograph, without their permission;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trade mark or other rights. Only share photos you took yourself or have permission to use, and make sure anyone who can be recognised in them is happy for you to post it;
- advertise, sell or promote anything, or link to anything unsafe or unlawful;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are; or
- tell another member to start, stop or change any medicine or treatment. Share what has helped you by all means, but please leave medical advice to the professionals.
What you post can be seen by other people using our site, so don't share anything you would rather keep private. Our Privacy Policy explains what is shown about you and the choices you have.
Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting it you give us permission to host, store, display, resize and share it on our site for as long as it stays posted, and to moderate it under these terms. That permission is non-exclusive and free of charge. We won't use your posts or photos in our advertising without asking you first.
Moderation
Our hosts and moderators may edit, move, hide or remove anything posted on our site, and may pause or end anyone's ability to post, where we reasonably think these rules have been broken or it is needed to keep the community safe. We don't check everything before it appears, and what members post is their own view, not ours.
If you see something that shouldn't be there, use the Report link beside it or email hello@wellinspirit.com. We look at every report.
8. Wellbeing information is not medical advice
Our rituals, guides, recordings, journal articles and product descriptions are there to help you relax, reflect and look after yourself. They are general wellbeing information only. They are not medical, psychological or other professional advice, and they are not a substitute for seeing your GP or another qualified professional.
- Crystals, herbs, incense, aromatherapy and ritual practices are described in terms of their traditional and folklore associations. We don't claim that any product or practice treats, cures or prevents any illness or condition.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, allergy or sensitive skin, or take any medication, check with your GP, midwife or pharmacist before using essential oils, herbal teas, or bath and body products.
- Always read and follow the ingredients, allergen and safety information supplied with each product. Never leave a burning candle or incense unattended, and keep them away from children and pets.
- Don't listen to guided meditations or relaxation recordings while driving, operating machinery or doing anything else that needs your full attention.
If you are struggling with your mental health, please talk to your GP, call NHS 111, or contact Samaritans free on 116 123 at any time.
9. Viruses, hacking and other offences
We don't guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for setting up your own device and software to access our site, and you should use your own virus protection.
You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not try to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which it is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to it. You must not attack our site with a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack.
By breaching this section you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and co-operate with them by disclosing your identity. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our site ends immediately.
10. Who owns what
We, or the people who license it to us, own all the intellectual property rights in our site and in the material published on it, including our ritual guides, recordings, photographs, illustrations, text and the Well In Spirit name and logo. Those works are protected by copyright laws around the world. All such rights are reserved.
You may view our site, print a copy of any page and download extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not:
- change any paper or digital copy of material you have printed or downloaded, or use any photograph, illustration, audio or video separately from the text that goes with it;
- use any part of our site's content for commercial purposes without a licence from us; or
- share, upload or resell our guides or recordings.
The digital guides and recordings you buy or unlock as a member come with their own personal licence, set out in our Terms of Service.
If you print, copy or download any part of our site in breach of these terms, your right to use our site ends immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies you have made.
11. Keeping the site accurate
We update our site regularly and may change its content at any time. We make every reasonable effort to keep it accurate, but any of the content may be out of date at a given moment, and we don't guarantee that our site is free from errors or omissions.
We take care to show our products as accurately as we can. Many are natural or handmade, so colour, pattern, size and scent vary from piece to piece, and your screen may show colours a little differently.
12. Our responsibility to you
We don't exclude or limit our liability to you in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Different limits apply to anything you buy from us. Those are set out in our Terms of Service, and nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
- Our site is for your domestic and private use. You agree not to use it for any commercial or business purpose, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
- If digital content we supply damages a device or other digital content belonging to you, and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation. We won't be liable for damage you could have avoided by following our advice, or by having in place the minimum system requirements we recommend.
- The security of messages sent over the internet, including email, depends on many things outside our control, and we can't guarantee it.
- We aren't responsible for you being unable to reach our site because of a fault with your own device, software, network or internet service provider.
13. Links to and from our site
You are welcome to link to any page of our site, and to share our pages on social media, as long as you do it in a way that is fair and legal and doesn't damage our reputation or take advantage of it. You must not link in a way that suggests any association, approval or endorsement on our part where there is none, link from any site that is unlawful or that breaks the standards in section 7, or frame our site on any other site. We may withdraw this permission at any time.
Where our site links to other sites and resources provided by other people, those links are for your information only. They are not an endorsement. We have no control over what those sites contain and accept no responsibility for them, or for any loss or damage that may come from your use of them.
14. If you break these terms
If we decide that these terms have been broken, we may take whatever action we think is appropriate. That may include a warning, removing what you have posted, suspending or closing your account, withdrawing your right to use our site, legal proceedings, and passing information to law enforcement authorities where we reasonably feel it is necessary.
15. Which law applies
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of them or out of your use of our site, are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland you can also bring proceedings in the Scottish courts, and if you live in Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in the Northern Irish courts. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer.
