Nothing is asked of you in the water — there is nothing to achieve here and nothing to work out. Nothing in the box plugs in: the bath things go into the water, the petals are real and float, and the bracelet goes on after the bath rather than in it. The small white burner in every edition needs a tealight, which is not included. Everything physical is dispatched together by our specialist fulfilment partner, so the whole ritual arrives at once. Simply smelling it is supposed to help lower blood pressure. Taking a bath with the oil or using it in a massage oil naturally enhances the relaxation experience. When used as a hair tonic, it is supposed to balance oil production.
Be warned, though, that high concentrations of ylang ylang can cause headaches or nausea. Ylang Ylang essential oil has been associated with perfumes and relaxation for a long time.

Before you begin
Never leave a burning tealight or the burner unattended, keep it on a heatproof surface well back from the edge of the bath, and let it cool before you move or empty it - ceramic holds heat for a long time. The essential oil is for the burner's dish, never on the skin undiluted, and never taken by mouth. The ritual water contains alcohol; keep it away from flames, eyes and mouth. Bath salts, petals and bath bombs make a bath slippery; take care getting in and out. Patch-test anything that stays on the skin - the cream, the lip balm, the roll-on, the soaps - and follow each pack. The bracelet, the mala, the sphere and the wand are not toys and not for children. Keep every item, and all packaging, away from babies, children and pets. This is warm water, a tealight and an enormous imaginary sky; nothing here treats, prevents or cures anything.
