The Coven's Calling Ritual

Starting from £45.00 ex vat

Choose the circle

Three ways into the same six stages, all built for a circle of up to six — and all of them work alone. The cauldron is the heart of it: everybody writes down a wish, a memory or a thank you, folds it and drops it in. “The Coven Invitation” is the one edition with no cauldron in it, and runs that stage with any bowl you already own. Everything physical is dispatched together by our specialist fulfilment partner, so the whole evening arrives at once — worth ordering with room to spare, because several people are arranging a night around it. The contents shown are a curated guide: talisman stones, cord colours and enamel designs are assorted, and your order summary shows what is actually coming. The ritual guide arrives by email.

0 / 500

A candlelit ritual of belonging, friendship and finding the people who make your world feel a little more enchanted.

Some friendships happen gradually. Others feel strangely inevitable. This is an evening for the second kind and the first kind alike: a circle of friends round a table, a cloth laid out, one candle in the middle, a pot of dark spiced tea, a deck of cards to give everybody something to say, and a cauldron - or any bowl you already own - that everybody writes one thing into. Built for a circle of up to six, and it works alone.

Three editions. The same six stages in all of them, and the cauldron is filled with paper, not with spells.

The three editions

The Coven Invitation — £45.00

The Coven Invitation opens a doorway into midnight candlelight, mystery and personal symbolism. Created as part of The Coven's Calling Ritual, this edition invites you to use the idea of a coven as a story of belonging, chosen community and the people with whom you can be fully yourself - but the real sequence is kept for the moment the box is open and the room has gone quiet. A first circle: one candle, a cloth to lay out, twelve moon charms and cord to wear them on, a deck of cards to give everybody something to say, and a dark spiced tea. Expect a carefully layered mix of sensory details, reflective prompts and meaningful objects, including hints of Friendship soy candle - moss agate, Spiced Black Magic black tea - 50g, and Your own message, written on the card. We will not tell you exactly what each one becomes. Some parts are better discovered in candlelight.

Before you begin

One candle on a table with several people round it still needs room: keep it away from sleeves, hair, the cloth and anything that can be knocked over, never leave it unattended, and never stand it directly on the cloth - use a dish or a hard surface. Light a sage bundle only over a heatproof dish, in a ventilated room, and make sure it is fully out. Do not burn the paper indoors, and do not burn anything in the cauldrons in the house. Cast iron is heavy enough to hurt if it lands on a foot and can mark a bare table. The perfume oil goes on skin it is intended for; stop if it irritates. The charms, the cord, the quartz pieces and the pendulum are small parts and not for children, and raw quartz can be sharp. Keep every item, and all packaging, away from babies, children and pets. This is a candle, some tea, an iron pot, a deck of pictures and a dish of small stones, put together so that an evening with your friends has a shape to it; nothing here treats, prevents or cures anything.
