A playful tropical bathing ritual, built around an imaginary lagoon that is hidden somewhere just past the end of a very ordinary week.

The Mermaid Lagoon Ritual turns a bathroom turquoise for an hour. Light a candle, colour the water with three ocean bath bombs and a coconut bath dust, wash slowly with a coconut and lime soap, float for a bit, and put the bracelet on afterwards. The lagoon is imaginary and we are not pretending otherwise; the bath is real, and so is the hour.

Three editions. The same five stages in all of them, and nothing has to be achieved in any of them.

The Hidden Lagoon opens a doorway into moonlit water, softness and renewal. Created as part of The Mermaid Lagoon Ritual, this edition invites you to create a private lagoon atmosphere at home, soften the pace, and let water, scent and reflection become a doorway into deep rest - but the real sequence is kept for the moment the box is open and the room has gone quiet. Before you begin

Do not take a bath by candlelight alone, and do not leave a flame burning while bathing or dozing - the eye pillow goes on after the candle is out. Bath bombs, bath dust, fizzers, soap, scrub, cream and oil make a bath and its surfaces very slippery; take real care getting in and out. The soap, scrub, butter, cream and oil are skin products: use each one only as its own label directs, patch-test if your skin is sensitive, and keep the scrub off the face. The coconut oil is a skin oil, not for cooking or eating. The ritual water contains alcohol; keep it away from flames, eyes and mouth. The bracelet, the rings and the bottle necklace are decorative and not for children. Keep every item, and all packaging, away from babies, children and pets. This is a collection of bath and body products, a candle and a few small keepsakes, put together so that one bath feels like somewhere else for an hour; nothing here treats, prevents or cures anything.
