The Moonchild Awakening Ritual is an original story told in objects. A candle called The Moon, a moonstone point that the story calls a key, a velvet journal with Stay Wild Moon Child on the cover and an enamelled box to match, a warm caffeine-free tea, a lavender bath and a stick of lavender incense before sleep. Each stage of the evening asks one question about who you are becoming, and the final stage folds the answers into one practical intention - not a prediction, and not a prophecy.

Before you begin
Never leave the candle, a tealight, the burner or an incense stick unattended, keep them away from bedding, curtains and anything that can catch, lift the crystal pieces out of the candle before the flame reaches them, and let the burner cool before you move it. Burn incense only in a purpose-made heatproof holder in a ventilated room. The essential oil is for the burner's dish, never on the skin undiluted and never taken by mouth. Do not bathe by candlelight alone. Bath salt makes a bath slippery; take care getting in and out, and check it for almond oil if anybody has a nut allergy. The mist and the ritual water are for the room, not skin or eyes, and not near a flame; the ritual water contains alcohol. Selenite dissolves in water; keep it dry. The moonstone, the wand, the sphere, the pendant and the deck are not toys and not for children. Keep every item, and all packaging, away from babies, children and pets. This is a candle, a tea, a bath and a journal, put together around an original story about becoming; nothing here treats, prevents or cures anything.
